Yeast Infection Symptoms To Be Aware Of

Although yeast infections can affect many  parts of the body probably the most common is the vaginal yeast infection that women are subjected to. Most likely because  this is such a common occurrence that when one thinks of yeast infections this is the one that it is attributed to.

Quite often for a younger woman that has never been subjected to a yeast infection it can become quite disturbing in the beginning. Many times they don't realize what the problem is. Actually, it is a good idea for the first-time bout of a yeast infection when it's vaginal to have it diagnosed by the doctor to ensure that this is what it is. It is not uncommon for several reoccurrences of this nasty affliction.

There are many symptoms that will indicate a yeast infection when it comes to vaginal. So once it has been ascertained that you are definitely suffering from a yeast infection more than likely the symptoms that you will experience may be an intense vaginal itching which is almost to the point of being uncontrollable. It can get to the point where you may even have difficulty walking and would not even consider thinking about riding a bike, for example. One of the problems with this is that it's very difficult to be in public because you are not able to do anything about the itch itself.

You will also notice that you will more than likely have a discharge. The discharge can be anywhere from white and very thick and curdled,  or it could be more of a thin and clear type with a yellow tinge to it.

Another symptom will be that there is a bad odor to it and actually may be an odor  very much like yeast, which is a common occurrence with the yeast infection.

As we mentioned the yeast infection can affect other areas of the body, and it can also infect  babies including their mouth and diaper areas. When it comes to mouth yeast infections in adults it becomes more common as the older one gets. Yeast infections can break out around the dentures. Attacks of yeast infections have been known to occur around the breast area, for example.

When it comes to the vaginal yeast infections aside from the symptoms that we've already talked about one of the other symptoms that can be quite to uncomfortable  as well is that there can be a vaginal burning. This can be almost as uncomfortable as what the itching is in fact there may be a combination of both.

The symptoms off the vaginal yeast infection do not just come on overnight although they do increase rapidly. More than likely you may start off with a slight discharge first before it moves into the extreme itch and the burning sensation. As it progresses the discharge will become heavier and can even change from one texture to the other.

You want to be able to identify the symptoms of yeast as quickly as possible so that you can take positive steps to correct it. Sometimes women will think that this will go away on its own but this is not very likely as most vaginal yeast infections do not correct themselves.
